Role overview.
The Head of Analytics is a senior leadership role that reports directly to the CEO and works alongside the heads of marketing, sales, and growth.
This leader will unify and elevate analytics across the organization, transforming a distributed function into a centralized, performance-driven capability. The role is responsible for defining company-wide KPIs, establishing a single source of truth across departments, and driving measurable improvements in revenue performance.
This is a highly strategic and operational position. The right candidate will combine analytical rigor, executive communication skills, and a deep understanding of sales-driven businesses to turn data into a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities.
Analytics Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and centralize the company's analytics function, managing a team currently embedded across departments
- Define and standardize core KPIs across marketing, sales, marketplace, and renewals
- Establish reporting frameworks that align leadership around performance drivers and revenue outcomes
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and executive team
Revenue & Funnel Optimization
- Drive analysis and optimization of key performance metrics, including submission rate, approval rate, win rate, and renewal rate
- Identify root causes behind conversion gaps and performance variability
- Partner with sales and marketing leadership to improve lead quality, routing strategy, and overall funnel efficiency
Data Infrastructure & AI Enablement
- Oversee data integrity, modeling, and reporting infrastructure
- Leverage AI and automation tools to improve insight speed, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Ensure analytics capabilities scale with the business
Requirements.
Background & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or revenue analytics
- 2–3+ years in a Director or Head of Analytics role
- Experience supporting sales-led or lead-generation business models
- Proven track record of improving funnel conversion and revenue performance
- Experience managing and developing analytics teams
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong SQL and data modeling expertise
- Deep understanding of sales funnels, attribution, and conversion analytics
- Ability to define and operationalize KPIs across multiple departments
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to translate data into strategic decisions
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude, OpenAI, or similar) and automation workflows
- Strong cross-functional leadership and influence
Preferred: Experience in fintech, lending, marketplace, or performance marketing environments.
Compensation.
Compensation varies by location and experience and includes base salary plus performance-based incentives.
Charleston, SC (Hybrid/Onsite) or Remote (US): $175,000 – $225,000 OTE
